At the end of 2022, Washington County transferred ownership of the 1889 Courthouse Museum, 1886 Jailhouse Museum, and surrounding property to the historical society. This marks an exciting new chapter for the society, which has been wholly independent of county funding since the end of 2021. Help us celebrate our new phase of operations and complete ownership of The Courthouse Square at our Happy Hour at the Tower Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
This event will be a chance to thank our supporters for helping us get this far and give donors an opportunity to help take us into the future.
The afternoon will feature:
